Dear Isoscanners!
We are now already 1 year into the ISOSCAN project, and a lot has happened in since our last newsletter came out. The most exciting development was the implementation of our citizen science test campaign in Tromsø with the newly developped ISOSCAN sampling kit - it looks beautiful! End of 2024 we had met a difficult situation when our project partner WildLabProjects decided to cease operations. I'm very grateful for the contributions from Illiana Toumpektsi and in particular Delphin Ruché to the project. Thankfully, we could find a very adequate replacement with Ann Eileen Lennert from the Arctic Sustainability lab of University of Tromsø entering the project, read more about her below! Now we will soon get the first citizen science samples to the lab - but sending samples by mail is not always safe, as you can read in a story from Benjamin Fischer.
