Dear ISOSCAN'ers,
our wintertime ISOSCAN sampling for 2026 concluded during April, and in the meantime all samples have arrived in Bergen. An entire 335 samples have been collected over a wide range of Scandinavia, which is a really great achievement for all the citizen scientists!
Cos has been very busy during the last weeks registering all samples and getting them in line for analysis in the lab, and we are on track to get a first glimpse into some scientific results after the summer. To allow all participants see where their sample was collected, and all the nearby samples, we have created the ISOSCAN dashboard. The entire ISOSCAN team would like to thank all getting involved and filling up an empty spot on the map.
In the meantime, ISOSCAN members have been active in passing on the message on how we involve citizens in a scientific research. On that note, we also welcome Eva Duedahl as a new member in the ISOSCAN team. Stay tuned for some major events later this year, when we will both launch the ISOSCAN documentary and participate in Forskningsdagene in Tromsø and Bergen.
See you after the summer!
